Introducing EV+, an all-new, fully featured brake pad range exclusively manufactured for Electric Vehicles by Allied Nippon.
EV+ is a specialised product, engineered to meet the demands of Electric Vehicles.
Fully featured, EV+ delivers an up-rated spec designed to safely halt faster, heavier Electric Vehicles.
AA-rated for ultra-low noise, EV+ protects the serene Electric Vehicle driving experience.
EV+ is certified copper free, helping to protect marine ecosystems from damage caused by copper run-off.
Compared to ICE vehicles, EVs are faster and heavier.
A 1.2L Peugeot 208 petrol engine has a 0-62mph time of 10.1s and weighs just over one tonne. By contrast, the electric e208 variant is a full 2 seconds quicker and 30% heavier.
We believe that EV owners greatly value the quieter drive provided by their new-gen vehicles, so Allied Nippon has gone ‘ultra-low’ and firmly into OE territory with the noise properties of our new, specialist EV brake pads.
The AA-rated formulation registered audible sounds in only 2.67% of passenger cases during testing, and our products matched OE formulation in peak noise output.
In developing our new range of EV+ brake pads Allied Nippon is really making a statement with a distinctive cosmetic appearance – the future is certainly bright!
However, EV+ blends style with substance. These R90 approved pads are tailored for Electric Vehicles, offering premium features usually reserved for higher-priced, OE products.
New to Allied Nippon EV+ brake pads is scorching,
an additional heat treatment process that
takes place after the pad is cured.
This process improves friction stability, particularly
at high temperatures, and contributes further
to the ultra-low noise properties of the pads.
An angled section on the perimeter of the
friction material that controls how the pad edge
contacts with the brake disc. These OE-type
chamfers help ensure effective contact to
further reduce noise.
Secures the shim to
the backplate.
Allied Nippon EV+ brake pads feature a new
CEM115 friction material developed for its low
noise properties and consistent, stable
stopping power.
The distinctive colour applied to the friction
surface of Allied Nippon EV+ brake pads is far
more than just a fancy paint job.
This is our BRAKEBOOST Instant Friction layer,
a resin-based compound applied over the friction
material to deliver improved braking during
the initial bedding-in period.
After thorough analysis of TecDoc VIO (Vehicles in Operation) data, our Allied Nippon experts have curated an initial launch range of 37 EV+ brake pad references to cater for Europe’s most popular Electric Vehicles.
Our range covers models such as the KIA NIRO, Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe and Tesla Model 3 and new numbers are already in the pipeline that will keep the EV+ range in-line with market demand.
